WELCOME

Welcome! We are a local befriending charity based in Motherwell, dedicated to reducing loneliness and bringing companionship to older adults aged 65 and over. Whether you are looking for a friendly chat, support for a loved one, or want to volunteer, we are here to help.

Frequenlty Asked Questions

Where are we based?

We are based in Kirk at the Cross church, located right in the heart of Motherwell.

Who do we support?

We support older adults aged 65 and over who live in the ML1 postal code area and are able to participate in two-way conversations.

Support for people with dementia: We are able to support individuals experiencing early-stage dementia. For those living with middle to late-stage dementia, we will gently signpost you to specialist services best equipped to support their specific needs.

How do I become a volunteer?

We are always on the lookout for new volunteers—our organisation simply couldn’t exist without our wonderful team!

If you are interested in joining us, please get in touch by email or telephone. We’d love to have an informal chat to tell you more about what we do and what the role involves. You can also find full details on the 'Get Involved' section of our website.
